Conferences
2026
RAMSIS User Conference 2026 - Kaiserslautern, Germany
-
The RAMSIS User Conference 2026 was an inspiring opportunity to reconnect with a global community of ergonomics experts after one and a half years. Seeing so many engaged users, researchers, and practitioners come together again highlighted the continued importance of human-centered product development and the strong role RAMSIS plays in this field.
-
A personal highlight was the opportunity to present something entirely new: a very early prototype of Human Factors Studio. This new tool concept is designed to transform how ergonomic studies and tests are prepared, saved, reused, and translated into meaningful results. While still at an early stage, the prototype gave a first glimpse into a more connected and efficient future for human factors workflows.
-
Further I presented our work on closing the loop between ergonomics and safety. In an EU-funded project, we used RAMSIS to generate realistic human postures that could then be applied to Human Body Models in crash testing. This approach shows how digital ergonomics can contribute beyond comfort and usability, helping to create a stronger connection between occupant behavior, posture prediction, and vehicle safety analysis.
Overall, the conference made one thing very clear: the future of ergonomics lies in smarter integration, reusable knowledge, and stronger links between human-centered design and simulation-driven safety development. RAMSIS continues to be a key platform for bringing these worlds together.

2025
Commercial Vehicle Cluster - Yearly conference — Wörth am Rhein, Germany
- Speaker on the topic of ergonomics in the field of commercial vehicles and different use cases for RAMSIS.
- My talk focused on how to leverage RAMSIS in production environments, especially through RAMSIS in IC.IDO, our VR/XR solution that helps teams integrate ergonomics into planning with immersive precision.
- It was an honor to speak alongside experts from production planning, logistics, quantum computing, and AI — all exploring trends and opportunities shaping the future of the industrial vehicle sector. Standing between trucks of every kind — big, small, combustion, electric, and even hydrogen-powered — was truly inspiring.
- My key takeaway: When optimizing production to the maximum, we must never forget about the human in the loop.

2025
Safety Summit Japan — Tokyo, Japan
- Panel speech on creating a human factors loop by combining body data, ergonomics and body scanning solutions
- Focusing on creating holistic solutions for the automotive industry.
- Visited two customer sites in Japan. It was exciting to see how they use our software in their daily work.
- Had the chance to hear firsthand where the biggest OEMs, research institutes, and regulators are heading in safety innovation. Even more rewarding was reconnecting with the teams we began collaborating with after last year’s summit. Seeing these relationships grow over time makes me genuinely proud of the work everyone invests throughout the year.

2025
Keysight XR Day UK — Birmingham, UK
- Presentation about using RAMSIS in combination with VR for ergonomic analysis in the automotive industry.
- Main Focus: Production Ergonomics and Workplace Ergonomics.

2024
Safety Summit China & Japan - Shanghai, China & Tokyo, Japan
- Nearly 400 customers joined us for an inspiring exchange of ideas about ATDs, Active Safety, Ergonomics, and Body Data.
- I was thrilled to speak about the symbiosis of ergonomics and safety, explore AI in vehicle development, and engage the audience with an interactive customer survey.
- A huge thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making these summits such a success!

Selected Projects
Driver Positioning Prediction Model
AI-driven prediction of seat and steering wheel position.
Driver Positioning Prediction Model
Development of a Machine Learning model to predict realistic seat and steering wheel position for a driver based on their body measurements and the car's concept measurements. The model is trained on a dataset of 1,000 driver positions and is able to predict the position for a given driver and car.
Design of Passenger Comfort
Ergonomic design of Rolls-Royce Spectre.
Design of Passenger Comfort
Ergonomic design of the interior of the Rolls-Royce Spectre. The main focus for the rear passenger seat was finding a perfect balance between functionality, luxury and comfort. One challenge was the design of armrests that provide comfort and support without compromising the luxurious feel of the interior and also incorporate functions such as storage and fridge. The project was done in close collaboration with the design, safety and packaging teams @Rolls-Royce.
Automated Belt Routing Simulation
Automation of belt routing simulation for automotive industry.
Automated Belt Routing Simulation
Automation of belt routing simulation for automotive industry.
Anthropometric Measurements Prediction
Definition and Training of a ML Model for the prediction of body measurements.
